About

Intention: I intend to create a space in which dealing with you, that is the real you, is sacred and insightful, yet joyful and free! I believe the solution is always the same for each person: “Work on Me.” Looking at where we came from and how we got here, promotes self acceptance and compassion for what we believe to be our short comings. We are all just human-beings desiring love and acceptance. I believe that loving and accepting oneself is the beginning. This is where change can begin. I create a non-judgmental space filled with compassion to let you investigate what you need to see/feel/experience to enable healing your emotional self. Once in a state of peace and self love, you can create a life that is yours!

Workings

My role is to help you find more meaning and satisfaction in your life! I work to treat the whole person. We are mental, physical, emotional and spiritual beings. Addressing all arenas can create a perfect balance that provides you with a life you can own as yours. I encourage every client to free themselves to be the authentic being that they are in truth. I will help you reclaim your intuitive abilities and ways to live more purposefully to obtain the life you feel you would like to experience.

I work to help you gain an understanding of what may be creating your unhealthy patterns, and identifying the thoughts and behaviors that you have the power to change. These blocks, or negative, maladaptive beliefs are the blocks that follow you into work, personal and social arenas. I assist you in identifying and removing these blocks so that your life is a more clear representation of you. Until we insist we want to be the best version we can be to create a life with love to live, our deep rooted negative beliefs lock us in patterns that create pain, fear, rejection and confusion. EMDR and Theta techniques can dig out these beliefs and free you to live, not just fill a role that supports others and leaves you unfulfilled.

Approach

While I am licensed as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) for mental health issues and certified as a CACIII (Certified Addictions Counselor level III), I focus on and am Certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desenitizing and Reprocessing). I find it to be the most effective treatment to remove these locks that bind you in ineffective and unsustainable patterns. EMDR consist of many protocols that treat specific issues successfully. I constantly strive to stay current on and add to my skill set in order to best serve each client. Each client has a unique set of circumstances, beliefs and issues. I tailor treatment to meet the individual needs and desires. Change is uncomfortable; I am here to facilitate and support you through this discomfort. I do believe that therapy can be a joyous, fulfilling experience. The best investment you can make in in yourself! Everything happens from there!

Foundation

Living and maintaining a psychically, emotionally, and spiritually balanced life is the foundation of my practice. I am in constant search of knowledge and techniques to foster the benefits of treatment as each person has their own specific needs. therapy is a collaborative process and I work to create a professional relationship developed in trust, acceptance and accountability.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a level III Certified Addictions Counselor (CACIII) and Certified as a Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner. Additionally I am trained in the Theta Healing techniques to find the deep beliefs holding you hostage.

My approach is to treat the whole person – mind, body and spirit. I am highly intuitive and believe we all have our own gifts to assist us in life’s journey. I am not here to judge; I believe everyone is doing what they know to do until they learn to do something different. Each client has a unique set of circumstances and I firmly believe people can grow, heal and transform. I enjoy working hard to stay highly educated and trained (the nerd in me) so that I am able to treat individuals in the best manner suited to their unique personality, circumstance and orientation. It is in loving and knowing oneself that you will be free to be yourself with confidence and allow yourself to be loved for who you are, rather than what others want/need you to be!
